Ok. I have a throwout bearing problem, and i see oil under my transmission, i guess is main seal probelm also. So i just got time today to start to take the transmission off to check and fix it. But i see this hole... on the transmission. Im not very mechanically experienced... so is it normal for sr transmission to have this hole? [IMG][/IMG]

Yup, normal. It's just a fluid drain, if water gets in there, or oil is leaking.

yea its normal. its there if your rear main seal leaks you will see it come out of there. and clutch wear can escape from there as well.

ok thank you. One more question lolz. if rear main seal is leaking, it will be leaking transmission fluid right?

"rear main seal" is on the engine. the transmission does have a seal though too.

No 5 speeds have oil in them...don't mistake that for transmission fluid. There rear main seal would be leaking engine oil. You would see drops of puddles if it were leaking. I don't think I have ever seen the front seal of a transmission leak before. I've seal the rear leak plenty of times, but never the front
