hole in the catalyst give me you opinion

Well, due to some already resolved tuning issues I have a quarter sized hole in my 3" magnaflow high flow cat converter, normally at this point I would just drop the cat down and proceed to bash out the catalyst with a pipe but I just feel so bad doing it to such an expensive cat. So you think I should just do it or what, the reason I ask is because I actually passed emissions with this cat, But I would not be too hurt if I have to buy a new oe cat when emissions come around 2 years from now.

Buy a test pipe and keep the Cat until the next inspection

sils of course correct man..but let me add a bit...flange everything..make shure there easy bolt-ons to swapp back and fourth..just incase the course marshals stop ya and inspect your system and give ya the ever popular fix-it ticket.
