My so called best friend put a hole in my passenger seat with a flat head screw driver. He was working on his car and wanted to run down to the auto parts store. We jumped in my M to run down to the store and someone forgot to remove the screw driver from his back pocket OUCH.......

I checked around and a new seat cost over $900

Has anybody done a patch job on these seats?

You should be able to get that repaired for much less at an upholstry shop and it will look perfect. I had a Tahoe seat repaired for a couple hundred bucks and you can't tell at all.

I had a T-bird with a cracked dash. I got a vinyl/leather repair kit from an auto store for the dash and it worked great for about 8 bucks. You mixed the colors together to match (it took a couple tries) then it had several textured pieces to put on the patch to make it match the grain of the piece you were patching. It might be worth a shot before dropping $$$ for a repair or replacement. Good luck and sorry for the misfortune, it happens though.
