SO this might be a stupid question but is this hole designed to drain water from the t-tops?

Not a stupid question, but yes it is. it leads down to the bottom right where the rocker seams to the body. Its also VERY important to clean them out. When I bought my car both the rockers were rusted through, I didn't know why at first but when I was welding the patch panels in, I realized it was because no one had cleaned those T-top drainage holes. On mine the drainage hole at the bottom was pinched closed, all the water built up over 25 years and rusted through the rockers on both sides. So this is a PSA for everyone to maintenance their car.

Ok, so mine is def clogged. Any suggestions for cleaning? Or where they drain out to?

You can buy what equates to a pipe cleaner on a very long stick. I believe they market them as engine cleaning brushes. If oyu had some solic core wire laying around, nothing too thick, maybe a 14ga, that would do the trick as well.

clean it out with a really long piece of something, maybe like a flexible metal rod or a dowel rod.

So I straightened out a coat hanger and was able to thread it down all the way to the hook part but something is definitely preventing it from going all the way through. I can see where it would empty out to but I can't seem to get anything to thread up from the bottom. Any ideas?

The tube might not come all the way out the body, it might end just above the pinch welds,if so there should be a little gap in the pinchweld where the water from that tube as well as any other moisture from inside the rocker and quarter panel can drain out. Sorry but the Z cars run together, one generation has the tube come out but it's right above the rear subframe bushing, can't remember the z32 specifically.

Thanks for the help, The guy I bought this from had it under some kind of tree that had spherical seed just about the size of the drain tube. I fear one is sitting at the bottom. I don't plan on ever driving this in the rain so I might just blow all the water out with air and plug it up if I can't clear it.
