Everythings disconnected and about to lift the engine and transmission out of the engine bay. And the head has been taken off so i figure just screw in a head bolt on each corner with the chain attached. so..... do you think those bolts will be strong enough?

it will take another 5 minutes to put in the rest of the bolts, so why risk it?

Use the old bolts, not the new ones.

Edit: Wait, are you talking about tying the chain to the BOLTS? I hope not. Use the old bolts to REATTACH THE HEAD for a few minutes and use the slingers like you are supposed to.

Yep lol, well the thing is that I'm using a leveler so i cant really wrap the chain around the intake manifold. So, i have to bolt the chain on the side of the head? A friend and I were kinda thinking why not use thicker stronger head bolts instead of bolts on the side of the head.

if the head is off, you can still pull the lower half with the transmission attached if you run chains through the engine mount brackets.

...or the accessory bracket bolts... just keep the bracket installed w/all bolts so the force is on all of them, not just the one you attach the chain to.
