Anyone done this? If i feel my shifter base while accelerating with alot of load i can feel my shifter moving alot in the NE direction. There is also very much vibration when starting the engine.

I want to do this as its alot cheaper than nismo mounts and i dont mind the vibration. My question is would 1 or 2 be better?

1 - would sit engine lower, maybe allow use for normal strut bars. Could too low be bad? Would engine angle change be bad?

2 - seems as if this is closer to the stock height of the mounts.

Fill your factory engine and transmission mounts with window caulking.....I believe its what they use. Alot of them dry flexible and are meant to be that way, others cure to be rock solid, the later is obviously what your after.

Theres a writeup on zilvia that tells you EXACTLY which caulking to buy at the depot repo.

This would be easier than the pucks, take you less time, and if your crafty about it, its not as hacky as you might think.

Use 2 Hockey puck its not as hard as you think to make them.. get a piston ring compressor put two puck in and tighten the compressor then drill a hole down the middle of both puck.

then go and install it in your car with some bolts and nuts.

By using a bolt through the pucks, means cushion on the downstroke, and hard bolt on the up stroke. Basically only does half the job.

Kinda ghettto, but it would work ok I guess :-)

I was thinking about placing two fatass washers between engine mount and top puck, and subframe and bottom puck. think thats a good idea?

edit - just saw that guys write up and thats exactly how he did it. perfect!

im guessing the biggest bolt you can use is m10? it doesn't look like theres much room around the stock mount bolts which are m10, i dont think an m12 would fit.
