HMMM wheres the humm??
Ok so I installed my B&M shifter today OMFG I LOVE IT. But when I was installing it I was a little worried about the dreaded hum people talk about. I ran the car to 6k (about 90mph) and no hum. So did i mention I LOVE THIS SHIFTER. Now all I need is a different shift knob. Anywho just had to rant for a second.

they make a shifter but i dont think it has shorter throws its just more solid i believe. and i just installed my B&M on weds and i love it as well! throws are very short and unbelievably solid compared to stock. i heard a humm once or twice but but it all the other times there was nothing. but it i hurt my left ankle yesterday really bad so now i cant drive!! only thing that was a real pain was the two front bolts on the shifter plate. but that will be a problem with any shifter.

i have the dreaded hum but i don't care, my radio can overpower that any day of the week. it's not really loud anyways. i think it takes a few weeks to develop the hum, cuz mine didn't do it for a while...also, another cool thing i noticed is that i can hear my gears spinning if i put my ear close to the shifter. pretty interesting...
