so i was replacing my radiator yesterday and this was in between one of the hoses at the top of the radiator. i have no idea what this might be. is it like a for temperature or something. i really do not know. if some one could help me out i would appreciate it.

Looks like a sensor for coolant temp.

It looks aftermarket. I don't remember seeing anything like that on any of my hoses. So unless you have an aftermarket temp sensor (Like on fans or a gauge) I'd say you are fine without. S13 SR20DET right?

i have neither a fan or gauge. and yess its and s13 SR20DET.

Did you buy a front clip? I'm thinking the original owner had some sort of gauge back in JDM land and left it there instead of buying an OEM hose or replacement.

so any ideas on what i should with it?

I'd leave it because I'm too cheap to buy a new hose but you can go either way really.

It's a coolant temp censor. It's found on the single cam KA's on the lower radiator hose. I have seen some people use it for a after market water temp. gauge.

o ok, so i comes from the single cam.
