So my 240 has 118k on it, im the second owner of the car but t was taken care of pretty well. When i start the car up wen the weather is cold for the first like 5 to 7 minutes the car runs perfect. But once it hats up to operating temp it starts to loose a lot of power at 4000 rpms and does not pull like it does when it is cold. also it gets alright gas mileage about 18 mpg but it deff should be better. Also in the summer when the air i hot the car runs with he same problem as it does in the winter after the car heats up. Any suggestions?

That is a classic symptom of a dying coolant temperature sensor, or corroded harness connector. It is located on the intake manifold, just right of the upper radiator hose. The bigger one with the 2 prong connector is the one you want to replace (it goes to the ECU). If the harness connector has any corrosion on it, I would recommend picking up a new one from Nissan. My local dealership even had a redesigned connector (non OEM) that the parts tech said they special order to replace the crappy stock ones.

If that dosen't work, it could be the knock sensor, which is a pain in the *** to remove.

well i changed the tps and the coolant temp sensor. i also timed it and seafoamed the crap out of it and it seems much better.the seafoam is what helped it. but it seems the more i drive it, it kinda seems to go back to how it was just not as bad. any suggestions on what to maybe clean or something i feel as if something is really gunked up.
