Hmm, did I just change a head gasket for no reason?

I Took off the head and found my gasket to be intact. However, I can see where the compression leaked between 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. My question. Is there a good chance that the bolts just streched and nothing else? Where can I get/How do I check, the head and if it's warped.

Also, I noticed that the head gasket has no coolent passeges open around the cylinderes except number 1. Is this normal?

With a flat straight edge or take it to a machinist to have it decked.

Head gaskets wear out after a while. If you've got lots of miles on your engine, it's likely just the gasket and not the cylinder head that's gone bad.
