Hey guys, I got into a little curb damage 2 days ago (banged my two front wheels against the curb), and I got one of the tie rods changed today (bent after the accident), and then got it aligned. Now while driving, the car pulls to the right.

The front left wheel is set on 6.3 degrees, and the front right is set on 4.1 degrees. . . The shop who installed the tie rod, and done the alignment said that it's pulling to the right, and for reasons of either the spindle, or control arm.

After getting home, I checked the tension rod bushings, and both of them are leaking.

Now my question is, can I still drive my car without any tire wear etc? And will fixing the bushings fix the pull?

Let me know, thanks in advance.

Caster will cause the car to pull towards the most negative side. Basically, if those numbers you posted are your caster degrees, that would explain why you are pulling I would think.

Yeah, the right wheel is -2 degrees less than the right. And yes, the car pulls to the right. But my question is, would changing the leaking OEM bushings to nice aftermarket ones fix the negative camber on the right wheel? Or do I need to also replace the tension rods?

P.S. The accident was both my front wheels hitting the curb head on.

Yes, the tension rod bushings are leaking. But I was just wondering if I change the leaking bushings, will it fix the caster to the 6 degree zone?

I dont think the bushing are going to help that much, unless there is a lot of play.

I think you should replace the LCA on that side, along with the tension rods (because its easier then bushings.

it should.

the core problem:

your car is high enough that a curb can access your tires.

slam your car. dont run into curbs. fix tension rods.

you should change your LCA, tension rod, and tie rods (if damage). go to auto parts warehouse, they sell the OEM ones with new bushings for freee shipping. its a lot easier than changing bushings.

and stop hitting curbs.

A bent strut can also cause bad caster. More then likely though your tension rod or control arm is bent. Also caster will not cause any uneven wear on your tire, it will only cause the pull.

wait, tension rods can leak? there's fluid in the bushing or something? I replaced both of mine right off the bat after this... It gave me an excuse to upgrade.

I haven't fixed it yet (due to all my final exams taking up my time). But i just finished my last final exam yesterday, and I will be ordering these to fix the problem.

Should be what I need to fix the caster problem.

It will help, but I think I would do a new LCA too.
