HLSD maintenance

is it similar to the 1.5 or 2 way lsd... where you have to change the fluid every 3k or some thing.... how is the install for these, should i have a shop do it or will it be fine for me to do it with a friend or 2... also... in anyones opinion, where would be the best place to get one, and i have searched

nope, its a low maintenence item, i believe you change the oil every 60k miles just like your transmission fluid, but definately not the 3k like a clutch type

and the install of the HLSD... is it simmilar to the VLSD, or should i get professional install for it....

i cant help you on that once since ive never put one in, but id take it to a pro cause you might have to get it shimmed
