With a 3.91 ration (manual trans S15). So what kind of power do you throw at it? Have any of you broken one? Mind you I don't drift, but road coarse, autocross, and drag passes are all me. I'm leaning towards picking up a HLSD, but I don't know what they take as far as abuse.

How do you like the hook WOT from stop, and from a faster moving speed?

So post your stories.

(speaking with different ratio) i beat the hell out of my hlsd, i do not drift either, but only have a stock-ish sr20

it feels great wot out of corners and lauches great too... it has the comforability of a open but delivers all could ask for from a lsd

i dont regret it

They're strong from the reports i've read. I you don't like the final drive gear, you can swap a standard 240 final drive into it. You just need to order some special bolts to hold it in place since the s15 uses thicker shanked bolts

Love mine.

Obviously, not the bet diff for drift, but for straight line power and track use, it's perfect.

A couple of our local drifters have driven it and said it was impressive, but would be easier to initiate with a locker.

p.s. You're not gonna break it. I know of at least one 600+ hp car running one.

Yeah a local guy is selling it, met him last night at a meet and it's not in a S15 case like he said. Not sure of the ratio..... sucks. So for me to put this into my hybrid case I need those bolts for the ring gear. I might throw a lower offer.

Checked it out, S14 R200 case, 4.08 ratio which I want to try, but it has the conversion bolts, 30 spline output shafts so legit S15 and not OBX. Gonna get it.
