I started out wanting to put in new rods and pistons into my Redtop but have worked my way into a complete rebuild leaving nothing stock. i have tried to find info on the lifters but all I can find is OEM HLA's or convert to Tomei's solid lifters. Just wondering if anyone has info on this or has applied it to their cars? Here is a break down of my head work to come:

BC 264/264 Step2 CamshaftsBC Springs w/ Titanium retainersTomei RASBrand new OEM Timing Chain KitJWT Adj. Cam Sprokets

Any ideas for valves? Thanks

These guys are who you need to talk to for bada$$ SR heads. They have a tube car with a SR20 in the 7's that turns 11,000 rpm.....http://www.mazworx.com/store/

Look under engines/cams& valvetrain. They use tomie solid lifters and tomie cams with all supertech valvetrain. What kind of turbo setup and how much power are you looking for. I don't know about the BC stuff with tomie solid pivots???

I have a T25 but going to the disco potato soon. And as far as power output all i am looking for is 350whp. It is my daily driver and I like to go a round or two with the american muscle. Right now I have 303whp. I was looking at the tomei setup but I am going to give BC a try. I havent ever heard bad about his products so....I guess I will be somewhat of a ginny pig.

Far from a Guinea Pig. Solids have been used alot by members on Fresh Alloy. I run the Tomei Solids in mine along with Tomei 270 Solid Cams and BC Valve Springs. I rev to 8500rpm pretty frequently. I have a 2871R .86 turbo though. Power doesnt die off till 8krpm with it. The 28RS that your gonna get will make power to about 7krpm. Solid lifters are the way to go though.

It is ok to laugh now. I would list all that is done to my 240(which matches yours or better) but it isnt all fully installed yet so I wont count my chickens just yet. But I am sure if I tweak it a bit i can turn out some more horses.

303 is possable with a t28 or gt28r but even with porting and polishing the compressor and turbine housing of a t25 you will not hit 300whp! Im here to help fellow nico members so if you want to list all your mods maby I can help you reach your goal of 350whp in a safe manner.
