This might sound like a dumb question but I am about to put on my whole new turbo setup and I am putting on this HKS wastegate, I am kind of confused why there are what seem to be 2 vacuum line hook ups. There is the gold threaded fitting and the tube fitting on the top of the wastegate. Can anyone explain what both of these are for? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, the gold fitting is the vacuum source for the wastegate, and the fitting on top is for a boost controller.

If hes just using the wastegate spring to control boost then the top can stay open to atmosphere. The top port is for an ebc, If the MBC you're using is the kind that restricts the w/g's boost signal in order to raise boost levels, then it would go inline(in series) with the w/g's boost signal(to the side port).
