hks valve spring dilemma

i picked up some hks valve springs off a buddy today, the problem is, he didnt mark which one was intake and which one was exhaust.... anyone know what i should do?

heres a pic, because everyone likes name brand parts

im pretty sure the intake and exhaust spring pressures are the same.

i was thinking the same thing, ill prob just give hks a call on monday to be sure.

I heard that they were actually just stock springs. I cannot confirm that but I heard it from several sources. Find the advertised spring pressures for stock ones to see if there is a difference between the intake and exhaust, I don't think there is. You could put a bathroom scale on a drill press and push down on the springs until they start to compress. If you have two groups of eight that spec out at different pressures you have solved the problem of which are which.

Measure uncompressed height and diameter also, again I don't think there is a difference.

ive heard there close to stock springs, but hey they were 50 bucks and cant hurt to throw them in when i do my cam swap
