I got the HKS Type0 TT and got the HKS TT harness, so that I wouldn't have to mess with it too much. The other 3 wires are, RPMs, Ebrake and ground.Hooked them all up except the RPM. When I turn on the car, I see the volts just fine, and I can select how long the car should run.But when I turn it off the key, the TT just counts down but the engine shuts off normally (as soon as I turn it off) What gives???

Maybe you tapped the wrong wires?

And connect your RPMs, I think there is a reason they want you to attach it.

HKS Type 0 Turbo Timer wiring"Red...............................................= 12v ConstantGreen............................................= 12v IgnitionBlue with brown or red stripes......= 12v AccessoryGrey...............................................= BrakeBrown.............................................= RPM SensorBlack................................................= Ground"

First three are in the harness, so no worries there.Ground and ebrake are hooked up (w.o ebrake it won;t count down)It can also read the RPMS, but I don't think its nesscessary.

But will give it a try. Any idea which wire it is on the back of the cluster????

It's been a while since I hooked mine up so I could be wrong, but I think it's the brown wire w/ black tracer.

O, and another thing I remembered from hooking up my friends.

An easier (less starter killing) way to test your timer:

1) instead of starting the car everytime, just put it into "on".

Here the constant & ignition wire should be powered. If ignition is not powered... well, you got the wrong adapter.

2) turn it to acc or off.

The timer will start counting down - and of course your engine is off.

Use a multimeter to check the constant & ignition wire (only really need to do ignition, but just in case).

If they are powered, then your timer should be working right and now you can do the real test. If not, then poo on u, haha.
