how well do hks cast manifold flow? Any known high power cars out there with hks cast manifold (500whp+) Reason i ask is that i have really good deal on the table for one and just wondering what kind of power levels these manifold can handle. I currently have an ebay manifold close to 500whp (havent dynoed since i installed the water/meth set up).

please no tubular vs log manifold, i know a well design tubular flows better and will help tremendously at top end. Besides the hks cast manifold doesnt look like your typical log manifold. Just trying to get info on HKS cast manifold. Any info would be appriciated.

If you take in consideration the amount of R&D HKS put's into their parts, I would assume the best and have no doubt's it that it could handle what ever I threw at it. I would not be willing to venture and say that it is better than a tubular manifold but who know's, they might know something I don't.

my friends runnin one on his supra with i think is around 600 with a t04 and veilside intake mani i asked himthe sane question and he said he likes it better than a tube style cuz it can handle heat better and when ur pushing that much power at 10k rpms heat a big issue

I was unaware that HKS made a Cast Iron manifold for the 2JZ...I know they made one for the 7M...I might be wrong but I cannot find anything that says otherwise.

You can make 500+ on a stock exhaust manifold, granted its not ideal. I am sure the HKS will support it nicely.

Don't even think about it if your running a mount kit with the stock 240 crossmember because it's not going to fit.

I'm not sure when it comes to LHD S chassis crossmemebers and stuff, but I have that mani on mine with the TO4e and Holset HX35/40 hybrid. We had to notch the crossmember to make it fit, and this is on a RHD car. I'd be scared to so how close it comes to all the steering stuff you guys have to deal with. As far as flow goes, I've seen some guys over here rocking that same mani with a TO4z and some other pretty big turbo which escapes me right now. I wouldn't be worried about it running out of huff under 700whp. :dblthumb:

kool, lots of good info. as far as mounts go, i have the r33 crossmember and fabricated my own mount that lowers and moves back the engine an inch. that should give me some room to play with.

cjmartz2k im actually running a holset gx35 7blade on mine. i havent taken in consideration the steering stuff, ill have to look into it.

I would love to know how it performs for you if you go with it because I had the same questions 2-3 years ago when I was manifold shopping.

works just fine, had one for 6-7 years now on my rb20 and now on my rb30...only thing holding me back from more power on my setup at this point is the turbine housing.
0.78ar is too small for the 30 and seems to be choking it out on the top end.
make sure you check the manifold for trueness tho as my flange warped and was leaking.

a guy on here ages ago (jazz, the og ppl might remember him) had one on his rb25 and he was making close to 650-700hp on the hks manifold/ungodlysized turbo.
food for thought.
