HKS hyper vs. N1 Dual

ok, which catback system am i least likely to be bothered by the cops.....hks hyper or n1dual. i want to know what either of them sound like on an s-13 240. my thinking is that the n1dual looks similar to the stock muffler therefore cops wont think much of it versus a big coffeecan style muffler on the back of my car. but i dunno....need some feeedback! which catback ???

n1 dual is basically 2 N/A version canisters, gets a lot of looks, so none of those exhausts will get less attention than another..hiper and n1 single are pretty much the same thing, and if u dont want attn from the cops, dont get a performance exhaust.....if ure really worried about it.

and as far as i know, theres not a big enough diff in sound to choose one over another...

i am going to buy a hiper myself, this week. i have read a lot about the hiper compared to other exhausts around $500.00 to $600.00 aftermarket exhauts and i am definitely getting the hks hiper. as for cops, i think 240sx2nr95 is right.

I didn't have a problem for about 6 months... now I've been pulled over twice in the last 2 weeks for my exhaust. I have the N1 dual and it's really not that loud.

Apparently Maine has a law that prohibits ANY exhaust system that is not in its factory (stock) configuration and it can't be any louder than stock. I'm not sure how enforceable the law would be... because there is no standard or set decibel level. They just say it can't be modified period. Kind of sucks... I need to either move or get tickets all the time. So far I've just gotten warnings... but I'm not sure how long that luck will last. Also, if you install the exhaust after you get inspected... it constitutes another offense for which they can fine you.

damn that sucks man, yea i think its the same for NY....i dont get it though, why would i make a difference?? guys put aftermarket **** on older muscle cars but no one bothers them, but oh theres a civic with a body kit and they get pulled over, doesnt make sense. oh well thats cops for ya

oh as for the silencers, they're 50 bucks a pop, and the lucky owners of the n1 dual need 2! apexi is making a bundle off this stuff

add a glass pack as an extra resonator, this will bring the volume down but wont add much restriction.

thatll work... or at least help... and yeah, us unluckys that have the n1 dual do have to buy two silencers... but i dont need em since im goin to have boost.

heh neither will help keep away the cops. I was cruising at 65 mph on the turnpike and a state trooper pulled me over saying my exhaust was too loud ( I have a HKS Hyper) now he was I would say a few lanes over in the grass. What a loser but oh well he never showed up in court.
