they're daily driveable.

They should feel pretty close to factory, but they are valved to keep the car in a squatted position when accelerating. That can cause ill effects when driving over bumps and such.

That CoolWhip is a really big help, i have the JDM TEIN HR Coilovers right now, and at the time i thought it was a good idea, but to make long story short i didn't do my research and they turn out to not be height adjustable and they lowered my S14 dramatically. So i know these HKS hipermax D coils are height adjustable but didn't know if they were going to be very harsh for daily driving. Once again guys thanks for the awsome feed back nico rocks!

the drag coils are alot softer than what you usually see on the market, to allow for the most weight transfer while drag racing (to the rear). One of the reasons why you see alot of people run factory shocks and springs to get the weight to transfer to the back when launching.

The HKS Drags are good for this reason over the factory setup is it won't be so quick to flip the weight back to the front when G force is decreasing or when their is an interruption in the movement such as a gear change.

Just don't slam your HKS coilovers since they are designed to have maximum travel for drag racing purposes. As you may notice they have a long/tall strut body that allows the car to actually absorb that travel.

This is great information Coolwhip, and about the slamming my s14, let's just say a navan bumper being demolished everytime i tried to pull in my driveway made me learn my lesson on what is considered to LOW lol.... i just want a good stance for my s14 not anything to dramatic. Thanks once again Coolwhip for this very useful information since i am a big newb to coilovers if you didn't notice that

its all good. Glad you got yourself a quality set of coils, make sure you follow back up with your experience with them for others to learn as well.

Most def i will hit you guys back up with my experience with the HKS HiperMax D coils, but one thing i can really say is it's good to do it right the first time, and also research because i made a foolish mistake in thinking the Tein HR coilovers were height adjustable but they weren't, i guess i had to learn the hardway
