Anyone know of a solution to this? The factory rubber hose is getting super heated from the exhaust manifold and is literally crumbling apart. Thought about wrapping the manifold with heat wrap, and getting a silicone hose, but not sure if either or both would solve the problem. A metal hotpipe wouldn't really solve it either since it would still require a silicone coupler from the hot pipe to the compressor outlet.

anyone else have this problem?

you can either wrap the header and reduce temps (and life) of your header.....or go front mount which is the best idea because it will cool your air temps...i guess you could wrap the elbow on your smic too

I've got a HKS metal hotpipe with the provided silicon coupler on and I haven't had any problems with heat on the coupler. Silicon may be the way to go.
