hey guys,

havent posted in a long while! car finally coming together and getting tuned(right before storage time :() but I've run into a bit of a issue!

my hks evc V wont let me dial in boost! no matter what I set it at it either over boosts or holds stock pressure(7.5).

has anyone else had any issues like this with the hks evc V? I am just trying to get the car done and this is the LAST thing standing in my way :(.

some specs on setup:

ka24de
ross pistons
eagle rods
s13 head + s13 cams
gt3076R turbo .82 a/r housing

Thanks

Sorry I'm no help, I've been a manual controller guy for years...

This may sound stoopid, but are you following the directions? Sometimes devices need to be initialized or something along the lines of activating them. The SAFC had something like that, stumped me for a few days once.

Cylcle through the functions and reset the EVC. After you reset it turn the switch off. Turn the switch back on and you should be prompter to select you wastegate type. P = Poppet or external and S = Swing type or internal. Select your correct wastegate and then youll be prompted to select your pressue units (psi or kpa). Select your pressure units and then start the car. Drive the car and make a 2 or 3 pulls in 3ed gear from 2 to redline so the EVC can accurately learn you Peak Hold or base boost. After its logged your Peak Hold you should be ready to set it. I have an EVC6 but I think the control modules require the same calibration. Hope this helps
