I just got a HKS dump pipe in a box of used SR parts and was wondering if anyone is using one? I searched and found out that it might have steering issues...is this true, i'd really like to use it cuz it was cheap and its really nice quality.

Its probably the best design for a turbo elbow because it moves wastegate turbulence far enough downstream that it will not effect the backside of the turbine.

It might have steering issues, but nothing a good ol' hammer can't fix.

yeah those HKS twin tubeo O2 housings will not clear LHD steering column. You have to bang a little, test fit, bang a little, test fit, etc etc to get it to fit.

I think banging the crap out of the wastegate flow tube like that kind of defeats the purpose of having a twin dump in the first place.

ILikeMy240sx - well that's what i was thinking,

bardabe - well I was told its an HKS and it looks like one to me but i guess i'm not positive. It definitely sat in some junkyard in japan for some time. I was going to sand blast it and repolish it, but if you want to do the work of restoring it or just use it as is; $10.00 and its yours.

yes my greddy o2 dump fit fine and i would choose it over the hks one due to clearence issues... why buy something and have to bang it with a hammer to make it fit..even if you didnt buy it..its quite a hassle
