This is from an ebay auction that caught my eye. What do you guys think? Worth the money?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...d=1,1

Just in from Japan !A set of HKS CA18 cams.264 degree x 9mm lift

They are in good condition,a few nicks here & there, but nothing to effect their opperation.

Will also fit the other twin cam CA engines.

Just what you need if you have made the Right Choice on a JDM engine swap into your 240SX.The CA is very close to the RB engines in design. No "rocker arms" to pop-off at High RPMLike the Econo SR20 !(jeez, you would think that Nissan was bought out by some stinking french company or something !)Oh, that's right, they were !!

Make some high RPM power, and kick some SR A$$ !( no to mention hondas & mustangs ! )

I also have a set of HKS NA pistonsCheck my other auctions.

I ship anywhere in the continental USfor $20 ( includes insurance )Anyone who offers shipping without insuranceis either an idiot, or a rip-off artist !!

I will not sell, or ship to anyone in:Syria, Iran, N. Korea, or - france - !!

I will not accept Paypal from anyone in:Canada, Mexico, Central or South America,or Puerto Rico.

Texas bidders will be charged sales tax.

I accept:Money Orders, and Paypal.

BUT.......................If you have any non-pay feedbacks in the past 6 months,Or your eBay account has been idle for more than 3 months,Or your eBay account is less than 2 months old,Or any of your eBay contact info is incorrect,Or if you have the security on your e-mail set so high, that when I try to contact you, it bounces back,Or if your ship-to info does not match what Paypal shows 100%,Or if you live in the US, and and do not have a verified account and confirmed address,Or I think ANYTHING is fishy at all...........FORGET Paypal !!

Payment due within 10 days of close of auction.

Pay me almost securely with any major credit card through PayPal!

Seller thinks he is funny, he isn't. Nicks in cams are not something I would want to see, proceed with caution, he sounds like a goof.

I have a friend that lives down in his area (TX somewhere) that's been to his place (that seller) and says it's just chock full of parts, good ones. But the guy is basicly a jerk.

yep he has good parts, but asks to much money from them.

if your seriously considering buying them, make sure you do not pay that much for them....why not go brand new at that point.

I mailed him about these cams AGES ago simply stating his asking price was to high, he got his panties all up in a bunch over it and told me that was the going price.

The main reason i asked was because right now im currently in the process of saving some loot for my head work and was considering something more agressive compared to stock, something that will keep making power past 6400rpm. Although doing this would probably sacrafice some torque, correct? Any other suggestions on this and my head planning?

PS - my main concern will be to get the engine together and running mimicking stock conditions and later i want to change "bolt ons," injectors, intercooler, exhaust manifold, turbocharger, etc.

Dont quote me on this but 9mm lift may require some machining of the head. I dont know if the stock springs and retainers are up to the task of those cams either.Maybe Dee will chime in here.

I've done business with him multiple times and haven't had a problem. Those cams SHOULD (don't quote me) BARELY work with the stock stuff. You are right at the limit. I've heavily considered those cams myself, but whenever a set come us, I've never got the money.

Hmm. Well i am planning on changing springs, retainer, etc. to allow it to work properly. Where to get them is the one of the many questions though.

No matter what he ever sells, he represents everything wrong with Texas...so I never buy from him.
