Nice ride, man! All it needs is a BRM exhaust :D

Paint, engine bay and interior look great (except for the cookie monster seats). I wish the carpet in my S13 looked that clean. Nice find!

Do you have a Clifford security system in yours? I have the same red light but mines down near the shift boot in the center.

Yep - door panel is cracked down there. I'll address that when I pull the doors apart.

Trunk lid (and rear bumper cover) was replaced due to a light impact, rather than repairing it. Owner had the old lid to show me, wasn't bad at all.

I like the lack of logos. :)

I didn't know the 'verts came with leather. Was that stock? I bet that convertible would love some Katskin leather seats...I know my car would. ;)

As much as I love my red S13 (aren't they all red?), nothing looks cooler than a black car.

What does it say on the side of the car in front of the rear wheel? It's amazing how little I know about convertible 240SX's. I've never even seen one in person.

Remove that AIV system. It'll clean up the engine bay and it's better for the engine. :)

Bart - I was thinking the same thing - Where did you get the "silvia" logo?

Brad - VERY few droptops came with factory leather. The Katzkin stuff is nice, but not as nice as the factory stuff. I'm gonna have it repaired at a local leather shop.

Chris - Don't worry, it'll happen!

SeVa - Can you link me to a DIY on that? As long as I can still pass emissions, it's all good.

We don't have emissions in my city (thank god) so I've never had to pass it. Thusly, I dunno how much it affects emissions--it's a common mod so I'm sure someone else can chime in with that info.

The AIV assembly is that black box (and a few things attached to it) that connects to both your intake and exhaust. It's just a bad idea to have exhaust linked to intake so if you wanna be able to have all emissions parts on there but still not suffer the drawbacks of exhaust in your intake, just remove that hose which runs from the little black box to the intake filter box. Leave the hole in the AIV box open but plug the hole on the intake box.

Oh, and the reason why we don't like it is because at high RPM's, the valve will begin to let exhaust gasses leak back into the intake. Bad.

actually, the AIV lets intake air into the exhaust. the extra oxygen keeps the cat active during idle (if it functions like the SR AIV that is)

That's the intention, but a faulty valve works in the oppsoite way when there's alot of exhaust gas pressure. I told him to leave the AIV side open so it still gets air while eliminating any risk of exhaust getting into the intake. :)

If you remove it ... make sure they aren't picky about visual inspections where you live.

I'll pull it AFTER I get it AZ inspected and smogged next week.

Gotta get those ghey CA plates off of it.

Think I'll get "NICO 1" on the plates.

If we could have 8 letters I'd get 240SX.ORG
