Amen Krazy...

For many reasons (mostly because of my insane work hours and the fact that we're right in the midst of deer season) I haven't been able to spend much time here at NICO lately. But, it was getting way too serious and (dare I say) overbearing for a time. I'm all about supporting the decisions of those that make this kick-a** site happen, but we gotta be able to have a little light-hearted fun as well!

Yeah... but I totally long for the days of "The Ring". You missed out on a lot of REAL fun. I'm not knocking NICO man, I love this place and this community... I'm just saying... it used to be much more laid back and unrestricted. But, as we've grown in numbers and popularity certain changes had to come about.

Yeah I missed that there ring as well. I never checked the forums until I just up and decided to click the link. I alwayts just went to 240sx.org and looked at the faq.

The Ring was a special place, (forum, if you will) where you could trashtalk all you want, rant,and be--- as the sissies would say--- "controversial"

It was like sky said... and all I can add is that you missed out on some of the coolest cats NICO has ever seen. It brought out the best and worst of such characters as Deesolballs, StoneAge, Hitman, Repo.... oh man... there were many more.

Lets just say the ring provided HOURS of amusing and entertaining dialogue that ranged the entire spectrum of social interaction. From ridiculous, insignificant, and humorous jesting, to the most "controversial" down-right nasty exchanges of slanderous debauchery.

You guys wouldn't have liked the Ring. I am an evil SOB behind the keyboard, and I think several people are probably scarred for life from the verbal arse-whuppings I handed out.

All in good fun of course.

As we have grown and evolved, it has become apparent that thousands of people rely on NICO for critical information regarding their cars... It's a universal truth: If you're gonna be the biggest and the best, you have to spend lots of money (bandwidth, technicians, web designers, etc.). To keep things running, you have to secure advertising to help pay the bills, and to do that, you have to sacrifice some things.

We're a lot more professional now, but we still have a good time!

I totaly understand all that. I dont agree with the fact that I may have not liked it though? I enjoy a good verbal arse whupin just as long as I can give it right back. But everyone isnt like me so I can clearly see why it was deleted.
