Hit pot hole, now I hear grinding when I turn (just inside in the column) 89 hat

I hit a speedbump on some ****ty road, and now when I turn, I hear the steering wheel grabbing something (on the inside of the columb, right between the turn signal things and the steering wheel)

Any ideas?

between the combination switch and the steering wheel? Stuff that's between there is 1. metal column, and 2. the rings that connect the steering wheel's controls (for stuff like cruise control and the horn) to the electronics behind the steering wheel. Sounds like it's time to drop the column's covers and pull the wheel to figure this one out.
