Hey all, long time no involvement ... sorry, lot's of work. Question though; I installed the '98 tail lamps on my '96 yesterday. I noticed that when I step on the brakes, the front corner lights and the dash lights come on with the brake lights. WTF?? Anybody have suggestions?

Odds are you got a power source touched to a ground. Its sending signal back through the system and lighting those up probly.

Okay all you electrical gurus and self proclaimed geniuses! I figured it out ... yep, not you ... ME!! After closer examination and through process of elimination I found that the driver's side brake lamp bulb was incorrect. What was installed was a 12V/8W single filiment ... it should have been a 12V/27W dual filiment bulb. Thus, the electrical current was rerouting incorrectly causing a short. Put THAT in your FAQ! ;-P

PS - It is the right bulb in the pic below.

It's definitely a possibility if the wiring is the same. Check it ... could be an easy fix.
