hit a deer....broke flip up light question

91 24sx with flip up lights. i hit a deer going probably 20 and it hit the driver side light. it snapped the linkage that connects the rotating motor to the flip up light. could i get by with just finding something to try and connect the motor and the light or do you think i should just buy the new linkage?
