So, it was raining pretty bad Friday. I was coming home from a long day at work, and I was approaching a 90 degree turn on a concrete road. As I came up to the turn, I held in the clutch, and put the car in second gear. I was holding in the clutch, and I somehow forgot that I was in second, and did not double check to see if I was in gear, but I let off the clutch completely. This threw me into a slide throughout the corner, landing my wheel broadside with the curb.

After getting the car on the lift at work, I found a good amount of stuff that needs to be replaced.

Now for the pictures!

Starting with the bent steelie! Oh noes!

Strut looks okay.

You might need a new front crossmember. Before I bought my car the owner slid into a curb and did about the same thing you did, but bent the xmember as well.

Free cambering. lol

I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on buying new wheels. I've been trying to decide what I wanted, and I almost bought a set the weekend before this happened. Something like this always happens to me when I buy audio equipment. I had just received my Kicker components in the mail the day that this had happened.

Whenever I bought the subs for my Ranger, the rear wheel fell off when I was doing 60. lol

It happens. :/

At least it's fixable and your 240 is still breathing instead of being shiped to a scrap yard.

that hurts

I once was driving in heavy heavy rain where this usual spots floods. Well this time it was really flooded and went too far on. Its only a 2 lane road on a sharp a$$ turn. I had to back up and when I did, my 2 rear tires fell off like a 2 or 3 inch road cliff, and buried the a$$ end under , with my exhaust. I was like O S***!, obviously. So I immediatly turned it off. Long story short, this dude in a truck was next to drive by and pulled my car out. It sounded like I had open exhaust for 2 weeks because the water soaked my muffler. Luckily no damage besodes that

I hate this rain. It's the reason my car is down, and it's the reason I can't get my parts. lol I've had it on my lift at work since Saturday, and it pains me to have to look at it.

Thanks Jeff, for hooking me up on the parts.

i bent my LCA and my tow arm on the left rear wheel hitting a curb and after replacing all the parts it was still whacked so I had to get some aftermarket adjustable arms so i could compensate for the crazy positive camber the curb gave me O_o

hope you can fix it like it was before but just a heads up, weird s*** gets bent especially if it was strong collision.

I hope there isn't any weird stuff like that that will be going on. I wasn't moving very fast, and the car hopped onto the curb, so it's not like all 2,700 lbs went into that one area. I'm hoping for the best. :/
