Actually, school is basically for getting a Degree. I have never learned much in school. That doesn't mean I don't know much. I was raised on the Public Broadcasting Channel. I have watched educational shows all of my life. That is where I learned ~40% of what I know. 55% percent of what I know came from my father. The other 5% came from school, books, and other people.
I really don't like the whole idea of a "Degree". Why do I have to have that piece of paper? If I don't have a Degree, does that mean that I don't know anything? It seems to me that is what Employers think .
I don't need to take English classes. All of my papers that I turn in have very few if any gramatical errors. I am very good at using descriptives when right an essay. Because I am knowledgable of the English language, does that mean that I would give credit to the English classes I have taken? That would be a No. Again, 90% of my English skills have not come from classes.
I really hate the American School system. Why can't they talk about anything interesting? Something along the lines of Particle Physics. Or Nuclear Physics. Or maybe if I'm feeling dumb that day, learn about Automotive Engineering.
^^^ I think I might have to create a new thread about these subjects.
