wow i got a 5 on the ap us history exam with ease and it would probably take me a little bit to remember some of those, then again it was a few years ago. i realized last year i had forgotten all the details about the presidents, i used to know every single one, who they defeated in the election, who was in their cabinet, and a bunch of other things, now all i can do is lost them all off, and no i dont know the song.

but anyway i agree with charlieo, the first #10 is 2, 16 is 3, the second 5 is 4, new york was a dutch territory, only sparsley settled by colonial farmers, in pre independance time.

ill work on the others

Eh... I think it's wicked stupid to have take home tests that are anything but essays. This is exactly why.

OMG! I loved essay questions throughout school. More than that, my teacher's loved my essays. My theory on increasing the effiency and speed of a submersible by duplicating attributes of different species of marine life rocked in high school!

Wow hmm, what grade are you in. Those questions remind me of history while I was in middle school. Too bad I can't remember it very well since I dislike history. I excel in logics and history just doesn't make very much sense, probably because its human history and humans don't make sense.

Agreed, The only take home test I've ever had where in a grad class in forensic engineering where you had to look up case studies and apply specific legal procedures in a research paper, made it kinda hard to cheat, but ya I would think these answers would be in your textbook, if not google it.

I have enough homework myself. I got a research paper due next monday Im working on. Finals week is also coming up. That looks like an easy class. Why dont you read your book, or pay attention in class?

Always lookin' for an easy way out. School is for learning, not just to get a degree.

Actually, school is basically for getting a Degree. I have never learned much in school. That doesn't mean I don't know much. I was raised on the Public Broadcasting Channel. I have watched educational shows all of my life. That is where I learned ~40% of what I know. 55% percent of what I know came from my father. The other 5% came from school, books, and other people.

I really don't like the whole idea of a "Degree". Why do I have to have that piece of paper? If I don't have a Degree, does that mean that I don't know anything? It seems to me that is what Employers think .

I don't need to take English classes. All of my papers that I turn in have very few if any gramatical errors. I am very good at using descriptives when right an essay. Because I am knowledgable of the English language, does that mean that I would give credit to the English classes I have taken? That would be a No. Again, 90% of my English skills have not come from classes.

I really hate the American School system. Why can't they talk about anything interesting? Something along the lines of Particle Physics. Or Nuclear Physics. Or maybe if I'm feeling dumb that day, learn about Automotive Engineering.

^^^ I think I might have to create a new thread about these subjects.

Hahaha. Great writing. Shows your intellect, really. Keep it up. If fact, just drop out while you're at it. Why waste your money going to stupid classes that teach you absolutely nothing since you're already so smart?

He said his papers didn't have many errors... last time I checked, posts on a forum weren't papers...

Vicki, he already answered your question in a previous post... incase you can't find it, he goes to school to get a piece of paper aka: degree

Haha someone is a little defensive.

I read what he said. He also said that he doesn't learn anything from school and only goes to get a degree to show his prospective employers.

I don't know about you guys, but people who write well and can convey their thoughts in text generally do that whenever they write, be it papers, in a message forum, or anywhere else. It's habitual. Obviously in his posts, his grammar is very poor. That's not to say he can't write papers well... anyone can with a little help from good old Microsoft Word's spelling and grammar check.

I just thought it was rather funny how he proclaimed that he's smart and doesn't learn anything from school when obviously he could use a little help.

I think you should. And yes college is to get a degree so that you can get your career going. It just shows to a company how determined you are as a person to get a higher learning for the career you're going into. I think you can learn more out of school, but some materials are just too abstract to understand without direction from a professor.
