but yea, found someone willing to do/help with the work for me till he found out I was putting an LS in an import he went all redneck on me
you should go tell him his precious chevy engines and cars are built in canada and mexico. i hate ignorant people like that.
and i would post my mount designs but everyones have been a little different. its not hard to do at all. you make 4 plates, bolt one to the engine, one to the crossmember on each side, put the engine in the car (with trans) use 2 floor jacks to center and level everything then measure your mounts, cut the steel and tack it into place. remove them and weld them fully.
if you are doing a soft mount, build the soft mount into the engine mount then just figure out how to match the crossmember to the mount.
for the rear mount just 3 pieces of angle iron. drill some holes cut them into dimension, done. just make sure you soft mount the transmission if you solid mount the engine. you can crack the transmission case from the torque if there isnt any give in the mounts.
