My hood flew up, and bent my hood hinges. I am looking to replace them, and slap on my stock S13 hood.

Are the S13 hinges compatible with 240sx hood hinges?

You know what I mean. lol Can I take the US model hinges and slap them on the silvia hood? Sorry if it's a dumb question... Just don't want to waste my time getting something I can't use.

Yeah, I think. I'm pretty sure my hood hinges are the stock s13 ones. I've seen silvia hoods on usdm front ends so I would think they would fit.

Are you getting them at a junkyard? I need some interior parts but I'd have to make my dad get them cause I'm not 18.

What are you doing to your roof?

The pull-a-part in ATL says you gotta be 16,which i think is stupid, but oh well,i might be getting a 3000GT engine from them soon.

Yeah, junkyard time. I need to take it into a body shop to have it pounded out. The cf hood snapped in half on my windshield and curled over to cave in half of my roof. I already pushed it up so it isn't bad at all, but it needs some professional hands-on love.

Yes US spec 240sx work with J spec S13 OEM hood.

No damage to the windshield, but the roof did sustain some damage.

Sorry, not gonna be posting pics.

Lol yeah, I thought about the four hood-pin idea, but it just makes more sense to keep the hood on hinges so I don't need assistance every time I want to pop the hood.

Dunno the name. I'm heading there with a friend from track days tomorrow morning. Gonna grab hinges and a hood latch.

I see how it is! You don't want to give me the name because you want that parts car all to yourself.

All I really need is those latches that hook the rear seat into place.

Hehe you've exposed my true intent!

Once I head there tomorrow and grab the hinges, I will let you know if there is a good selection (and get the name + location, of course). I'll try to remember your seat latches, too.

Alrighty, Christian. Good news! I saw two S13 hatchbacks, both of which had the full rear-seat assemblies.

The place is called Ecology, and is located off Broadway road in South Phoenix.

Got my hinges, and will be installing my stock hood today. w00000t!

damn man that sucks. i hate it when that happens, i messed up my new $600 cf hood. did your windshield take any damage? mine got seriously destroyed as well as messing up the roof. whos fault was it, yours, someone elses, faulty product?

Nope. Somehow, the windshield didn't take any damage at all.

Roof was beat up a little bit. I'll be taking her to a body shop next week to get the dents pulled out the best they can, and then get an estimate on how much it'll be to make it perfect.

I'd say it was my fault for not having hood pins, but the hood latch was to blame. It failed.

Make sure you put before and after pics, guess body work will have to be done and paint, did you think about doing roof black, or would that look g@y
