It seems the hinges are weak, both rear corners of the hood(area of hood near the windsheild) are rubbing the fenders when the hood is opened. Has anyone expericeced this problem? It appears the fenders would have to be removed to replace the hinges. Is this a difficult or tricky R/R? Car has no damage, has not been involved in a accident as far as I know. Any feedback appreciated.

I'm having the same issue, but only on the passenger side. I took it to Infiniti and two rather knowledgeable looking guys checked it out. The only thing they could figure to do was replace the hinge.

I have a 2005 G35 sedan.

aez2g let me know if you ever figured out. I've yet to do anything other than not raise the hood.

Had the same problem late last year. The problem disappeared just the way it appeared one fine day. Left me clueless

The only thing i did was opened and closed the hood a few dozen times.
