Well a New CA18det is born and wll be running at the end of this weekthe old motor sounding like it had a blown lifter..it blew a lifter a few months back and just put a new one in and fixed that..Anyway..we where planning on just pulling the motor out and putting new bearing and rings and get the head done. After 30 events the motor need a little freshing up.so we conpresstion tested it and..1-130. 2-120.3-100. 4-110...not looking good..so we pulled the head off and this is what we foundso I call Neo Tech up and asked him what he has..the one we came home with has 67km on it with a s14 t28 turbo and a OS Gikin twin plateSweet here is a sneak peak of what the new on is going to look like in a week

so did NEOTECH provide the first engine, and is the second one a "FREE" replacement, or did you just purchase a new one?

Careful with that clutch bro. It's a little touchy to drive around town and it holds like no other. It's been the cause of right around 4 transmission's breaking on a friend of mine.

But besides that.. looks like a pretty clean engine.. good luck with her!

i dont think anything is being replaced for free after 30 events unless its a sponsor.

got some wicked detonation there didnt ya? totally fixable, but will require a good bit of work. now is the time for a 4 port head and some forged slugs for that old engine.

oh, and dont forget to throw in a little more fuel or less timing so you dont do that again...
