I might laugh if I didn't equate the truth of the "because you don't vote" comment to an infinite spiraling pit of helplessness. Why the @#$% would I vote when everyone else is dumber than a dead horse in a coffehouse and, last I checked, outnumber me by 314 million to one (hey! Pi!)?

Voting is for idealists. World domination or bust.

Admittedly this is all somewhat rhetorical, as I did actually attempt (keyword) to vote in 2012. But I do take a strange sense of pride in the fact that I ATTEMPTED to perform my civic duty last November but was thwarted by bureaucracy. "Sorry, you can't vote at this station. Yes I know you spend 8 hours a day upstairs and it's simpler for you to pop down here on your lunch break, but you live across town and you need to go stand in a TOTALLY DIFFERENT line for 20 minutes instead." It's like an ouroboros of pointlesness.
