Hey whats your take on CP vs. MAHLE pistons i can get a good deal on both so im not sure which ones to run does anyone have any opinions/facts on either of these pistons? thanks

Either piston is fine IMO. I prefer the Mahle's since they have phosphate coatings as well as the graphite side skirt coating. Also, the Mahle is a lighter weight piston made from aluminum/silicon alloy. The only problem with the Mahles is that you have to modify the oil squirters on the bottom of the bores or the pistons will break them.

Ok what does this modifying process consisit of as far as the oil squirters?

I would go with Mahle. I work over here at the Caterpillar tech center and they use Mahle. These are pistons that go in engines the size of a whole room. Some of those engines go on freightliners and ships so they have to be reliable.

I know they are oem for porshe also. Its sucks that you have to modify the piston to clear the squirters. Hopefully Mahle gets more input from the sr guys so they will change the design.
