Headlights dilemma ..........HID kit?

So, I have an 08 Altima Coupe and my headlights use halogen bulbs. The headlights don't shine very far, so I try to avid driving at night with my car because it hinders me from seeing properly. I even tried different bulbs and no change. I even tried to adjust the headlights, but I don't think that even did anything, unless I was going about it the wrong way.

Can I just buy an HID kit and install it? These are new headlights, so I don't want to replace them with projector headlights (which I know are better), unless I absolutely need to. They are so expensive though and if I can find another alternative besides buying them, that would be better. Also, is it better to get the 35w or the 55w? I know the manual says to use 55w for low beam and 65w for high beams.

Yes, you can. Just buy the correct aftermarket HID kit. These kits are very inexpensive these days.
