I was getting 17-18 Mpg when I did 4.08 swap with almost 40-60 hwy-city driving. At least 2-3 WOT per day to clear carbon deposits from pistons/chambers If everything goes as planned, at the end of this year I might get 00-01 Y33 non-T

Just filled up today.

It took 17.5 gallons at $3.479 per gallon and the odometer was reading 230 miles. 13.14 mpg. $60.95

It sucks but that's how it goes. No 4.08.

did you factor in the 10% difference in speedo?

Actually, Wes meant odometer.

If you weren't cruising at 130mph+ or at WOT everytime you touched the gas, then something was way off.

Isn't amazing how closely HIGHWAY MPG tracts with diff gear [rpm] ratio changes.

If we didn't haul passengers or need AC the Q could probably get by in flat low altitude driving with a 10% reduction [1800 rpms at 60 mph] a 3.185:1 rear diff gear.

Of course!Average 280-290 miles per fill (approx 17 gal) I still have sales slips (I keep them as sentimental value ). That's given 10 % difference in axle ratio!Cheers!

A 4.083 with a standard speed gear has a speedometer off 15.4%......... of course the odometer is also off by the same amount.
