I'm sure someone has more than me but I'll start it off, 191,844 miles on my 94 J30T. Never had any problems with my engine or transmission other than a radiator hose that cost me $14. However I'm the second owner, bought it with 177,300 miles on it.

This is our second J. First one finally died at 187k and this one is still going strong at 197k miles.

Um, yeah. That's under 8k a year, so it's pretty low for a 93.I should probably add that mine is on its second engine. The previous owners opted to let it run out of oil rather than replacing the rear main seal.

I'm running around about 90-95% original 1993 parts...only things I've replaced were plugs, air filter, oil changes, tires, headlight relay, thermostat housings, thermostat, one coil, battery, brakes, rotors and lamps when they burned out.

Original transmission, engine, possibly only one timing belt change, since I've never replaced it since 106k , the original owner did all maintenance through the local Infiniti dealer.

Really just general maintenance. Very impressed with the car and like I said if Infiniti made a 7 passenger vehicle that was within my price range and gas milage limits...I'd go buy it. QX56 is way beyond what I can afford even in gas alone...lol ...SO I have to look elsewhere for the new car coming soon. My only hope for a newer Infiniti is inheriting my Grandma's 04 G35 someday.

7 passenger vehicles (besides minivans) just don't get good mileage.

exactly, so after much cringing, minivan here I come....and I'm not quite sure if we can afford adding another vehicle to our insurance instead of replacing right now, ($165/6 mos more to add an 06 Freestar SEL and keep the J, $11/6 mos less than we're paying now to just replace the J) not to mention additional plate fees with two cars, the repairs I need to finish on the J, and the J isnt space friendly on trips with the kiddos...so you see where I'm headed soon.

DON'T get a Ford. Get a Honda or a Chrysler. I've sold cars (and minivans) for the last 8 years and Honda or Chrysler is where it's at.

I've seen many, many more negative consumer reviews for Honda and Chrysler. I've had two chryslers myself with transmission and engine issues within warranty and got a bad taste from the dealer...wont get screwed a third time on a Dodge/Chrysler product. 1997 Dakota they put the wrong transmission in, and dealer wouldnt fix it and a 1998 Eclipse (mitsu partly owned by chrysler) on it's 3rd engine and 2nd transmission. Neither one made it to 25k before they had issues. Truck blew the transmission under 12k and the spyder shattered the #3 piston, snapped a conecting rod and melted the balance shaft to the block @ 23k and lost 4th gear at the same time. Oil changes were once every two months at the longest too.

Seen 1 out of every 5 reviews on Hondas that had to replace/repair the transmission, and Honda had recalls on the trannys for 99-04. Normally I'd go Honda due to their reputation with Civic and Accord, but from what I've read it's a hit or miss on the Odyssey. I still like the design the best.

From the reviews I seen on the Freestar 13 out of 15 reviews were positive, with only minor recalls. And in the end...it's not completely my choice..wife has to approve the family car since it's "our" money. Target price is under $7000 so we can just pay for it and be done. No payment.

Wife has family that worked for Ford and retired..I have family that worked for GM and retired so I wasnt even going to look but she had me check out the reviews and I was surprised.

I'm still going to drive a few others, check out a couple Honda's despite the reviews, going to look at the Freestyle b/c of the deal we can get on it. Going to go to a few lots here in the next couple weeks and test fit the family in the vans.

My personal choice if price and gas didnt matter would be the QX56, but I bought my house (repo) for nearly what that would cost.

If you do your own car work, don't buy a Honda. Maintenance can be a real *****.

My 96 J has just over 130k on it.My 95 Altima has 225k+

How so? You can easily get to all 6 spark plugs on an Odyssey. Not so on a Ford or Chrysler. transmission fluid is easy to change along with other fluids.

I've dealt with the transverse V6's on GM cars (93 Grand Am and 94 Cutlass) so unless there's less room than those to work with, plugs wont scare me. I've had anywhere from those to my Spyder that with the inline 4, were right on top to the J that you have to remove bolts, to my Dakota that you could nearly sit in the engine bay. And if I get the Iridium IX's or laser plats (if available) like the J has when I change them, wont have to worry about them for a LONG time. The 04 Freestar Limited we're looking at only has 46k, books @ $15,900 and the dealer is asking $10,900 and is working with me for about $7000 cash. So I think we're getting a great deal. And like I said it had the least consumer complaints that I read.

Oil changes are just as cheap to have done than it is to diy. By the time I'd get oil, filter, disposal pan, etc. I've spent just as much, and I have to get dirty. If I take it to ol Wally World, I can do my grocery shopping while my oil gets changed. Saves me time. And transmission flush I take to a shop back home, they do the complete flush where they hook it up the the machine that sucks and forces fluid through , filter, labor and all for about $100.

I'm just sad the J is finally wearing out and is more to repair than it books for. But the next car I'm able to purchase for myself, for commuting, will be another Infiniti or Honda.
