I think there are some threads about this.
Try Searching for it, you might find it.

Why 600hp......I dont know it sounded like a good number to shoot for I havent had my car on the rollers yet to find out what it has now but I think im just about 200hp from getting there now. I just want to build something different, alot of guys are building the rb26 but i have an rb20 and some things done to it so im gonna stick with it.

it's a expensive road but if your going to do it make sure you pick up a nitto oil pump and crank collar. Then get mechanical lifters and cams to match with valve springs and bigger valves with some head work. Your going to need to rev the piss out of it to live with the turbo lag.

I was thinking rods and pistons deff. I was looking at kellford cams and I have a friend who works at a machine shop who is going to do all of my port work, he has a talon with 576 to all 4 wheels. I am currently running 550cc injectors and a top mount precision turbo along with the usual, fpr, wallbro in tank, front mount, z32 mf etc etc. And Im using a maxima computer that has been tuned by jim wolf. I know Im gonmna have to revamp the fuel setup completely, but i was wanting to do that anyways. But I dont think Im gonna have to beat the piss out of it to get the amount of power I want. It might be a bad idea to have that much power in my 240 because the way it is now if i downshift to 3rd on the interstate doing about 70 75 it breaks the rear tires loose.

You have to remember that the block just holds the hp, the head makes the power. Also I'm at 398hp on my 20 and it's not a fast spool, it goes with the territory small motor + big turbo = lag.

Yea...Right now IM running a precision turbo and it starts spooling around 4300 and comes on hard so IM pretty used to the lag. The only thing I havent figured out yet is what to do about the intake manifold and throttle body.

I run the rips intake manifold and a bored out stock throttle body. I could switch to a bigger tb and mod my manifold if I wanted too but don't really see the need of it. I haven't found my peak hp rpm yet, my last dyno stopped at 7200 and my rev limit is set to 8k.

for fuel run a 255 walbro in tank feeding a 4L surge tank, then run a -10 from the bottom of the surge to the inlet of a bosch 044 fuel pump and a -8 feed line from the 044 to the rear of the fuel rail thatll support high 700 whp...

way cheaper then running twin walbros and twin feed lines

If you want to hit 600 hp, your going to want more displacement.
Stroke it with a RB25 or 26 crank or switch to a 25/26

Google RB24, you'll find some more info.
I've heard of ones hitting 700hp never seen them, just heard.

It's either up the displacement as Sil240 said or rev it up higher as mentioned before... make sure you're head can rev... and if you're stuck on staying at 2L consider going with a drysump. The RB20 head is fairly restictive, so you should also consider doing what you can to make it breath better...

For 600hp (whp?) you will want to what you will have to rev to before you pick a intake/exh manifold and a turbo... these will all change base on where you want to make peak tq and your ultimate rev limit... also if you're reving it you'll need to run numbers with the internal parts you'll be using (including valvetrain) as weight becomes a very important factor with higher than avg rotating speeds

Hope this helps
