I just wanted to pose the question to all of you G35 Experts out there. My G is getting up there in the miles (50,900) and I don't have an extended warranty. I still have 9k miles left on the manufacturers and I do have the option to buy an extended. Should I buy the extended or trade it in towards a new G? I mean I love my car and I guess what I am getting at is will these cars last over a 100k like an Accord?

I know this is really up to what I want but I just wanted to take a poll....Thanks.....

You didn't mention how much the extended warranty is?I generally do not believe in them because you are paying up front and there is usually too much legalese, exclusions & other ways for them to tell you your not covered. If you take good care of your vehicle there is no reason why you can't get 100k or even 200k. I got over 200k on my 1988 Mazda 929 5 speed. Only repairs were a clutch, brakes, timing belt hoses and belts over 17 years.

IMHO put whatever $$$ they are asking for the warranty into a separate repair bank account, add a little at a time to it & skip the warranty.Everyone today wants to sell the customer a warranty because they are so profitable.F um all!

I have the extended to 100k on mine lol... The guy i bought it from had it. I never bothered to transfer it when i got it. well when i took it in to the dealer... the guy changed the name to mine in the computer... so i never had to pay the fee of changing it.. I love that i got 100k and i didn't payfore it lol

I've read about several G's that went way over the 100k mark without much problems. I guess its pretty much up to the owner and how they take care of their cars.

Well there are several different types that they offer but the $0 deductible one for 48,000 miles is $3,700.00 for 48,000 miles......seeing as I have had it in the shop now 3 times for the throttle body going out I just wanted to play it safe. The putting the money aside deal sounds pretty good to me. I may do that instead of paying out money to the $%^# dealer. I appreciate the help!

3 times for a throttle body? How often do you change your air filter?

Trade it in for 06 or 07. 04 and 03 had some issues. You'll have warranty again and you'll drive a newer car. Would cost you another 3-4k on the top of the warranty and your trade. I think. Maybe I am off a bit.

I'm like telcomanI don't buy extended warranties...$3,700?!?!?!Put it in the bank like he says. Also, when you do have problems, take it to a good Nissan dealer instead. Ask for a coupon book....if they have any.

I would keep the 04, and bank the difference in payments toward a new one at a later date...... ZOZO...put down his check book!!!

Wow that is expensive, the original owner of my G paid $2104 for 100k/7yr with zero deductable at the time of initial purchase! Dealer transfered it and forgot to ask for fee...Still waiting for confirmation docs...
