I installed all the gauges in my car (JDM 9k tach, VDO oil, turbo, and EGT gauges, plus a basic A/F mixture reader). After getting everything put back together, the car nows idles consistently at 1100 RPM where as in the past, it used to idle at 800 RPM.

Have any of you guys out there that swapped tachs noticed a similar phenomenon<sp>?

To those of you with A/F gauges or anything else that you had to wire into the 02 sensor, did you notice a change in engine idle?

Lower it down to 7-900 rpm on the jdm tach and hear how it idles. If it idles fine then you're good. If it starts stumbling like it's going to die then it's too low. I was always skeptical of the ka tach not being too accurate. It may have proven so..
