I like this i have heard of it and im calling out all the techs and the whizzes here to challenge this product and lets get a lil some some out of this! this is a Catalytic Converter which heats up and ionizes the fuel if you need a simple explination.

I was searching around the other day looking to see if anyone else had done any research on fuel saving devices and I ran into this thread, It's the best idea I have seen so far...it looks like you guys kinda dropped it though

lol so as i been trying to do all of this work. The hydrogen alternative would work if you dont have the chip that these guys provide but till than hydrogen wouldn’t work well with the Q. if you use hydrogen O2 sensor will think there is not enough fuel burning since you get too much Oxygen out of you headers. It would pump in more gas which will make more power but not economy. So in terms of economy and performance this is the best i have come along. Its better than hydrogen at the moment since the system is so simple and i fell in love with the design you can add hydrogen and get even more quality! Please people give me your two cents so i can proceed!!

O2 sensors aren't that hard to bypass. If I had time right now I would dive into that project but my shop is clear full of inventory right now so I will have to wait

Q45 tech look into this and see if its doable with your crazy *** calculations and experience this technology is old and has been proven gimme what you got!

Oh i wish i was on crack now! I would run to my clients houses! Driving about 150-200 miles a day gets heavy with these gas prices and economy people don’t have money to manage the financial problems that means no money for me. And Brian serious calm down man instead of being grouchy why don’t you come up with something since you’re so great and no bicycles!

Common man, don't be so negative. I love riding my bike...I ride it more than I drive the car

I can't seem to find a price anywhere. If you have already received one from them would you care to share it?

I am very curious as to what kind of magnets they're actually using to "ionize" the fuel.

OK, here is the challenge. If the technology were valid don't you think that the promoters of said technology would be able to keep the hoards of people away that would want this? The mobs standing at the door would at least attract the TABLOIDS and even maybe CNN, FOX and THE FINANCIAL CHANNEL, CNBC. And then there is the DISCOVERY Channel? Believe me, IT would be in the public domain

The "gas saving claims" are too wild. If the claims were more modest then maybe there would be something there to consider as possible. Read the before and after on the gas savings claims. Reads like a fairy tale to me.

There are, currently, cars running on the latest "gas saving" technology. I think the Toyoto Prius goes about 45 - 50 MPG? There are others available. You can actually buy those "ready to go", today, at a dealer near you. With a warranty no less !

Additionally there is a car, right NOW, that made it's debut at the current Detroit International Auto Show. Comes from Europe but I don't recall the name of it. That VERY small "cute" car, two people, will go 65 MPG. Should retail around 15 K ?. There are standing orders for it. RIGHT NOW. The technology is pretty much conventional from what I understand.

Those are the stories that are currently factual and believable.

Here is the CHALLENGE FOR YOU! Buy what's offered on the website that you presented, keep careful records, prove your claim, their claim, beyond a doubt, then come back here and I'LL JOIN YOU ! Hell I'll pay YOU a finders fee! How's that.

Adios. Jack

LMAO!!!!

I've just about given up on the "fuel efficient" Q. I paid $49 two days ago for a fill-up of 92 @ $3.09 per gallon.

Yeah, the prices seem to be getting higher, but we really only have 2 choices. Either get a job (or a better one) to afford the Q or get rid of it and buy a Prius. Q's aren't cheap.

I don't have very many expenses as a college student. The income I get from my job gets split into thirds. 1/3 is pocket and liquor money, 1/3 to my Q, and the other 1/3 goes to my savings (Which is really a rainy day account aka "Secondary Q Funds"). The savings are for if I ever have to fund a costly repair.

The oem gearing sets the engine rpm for a speed [2000 rpm = 60mph].To avoid melting cats and minimize pollution the O2/ecu set the cruise mixture at 14.7 AF.

What ever amount of air that flows into each cylinder [thottle position controlled] the MAF measures it, divides by 8 and signals ecu which calculates how much gasoline to squirt into cylinder.

If you select a speed the amount of gasoline is fixed based on air temp, barometer pressure, and humidity.

Going up a hill adds gravometric drag tries to slow down IF YOU INSIST on maintaining speed you must add more air via throttle thus more gasoline.

All about engine displacement gearing and drag.

Don't try to make it more complex than it is.

Sorry I am not drinking the KoolAid.

So you want to downgrade your clients from a Q45? Part of cost of doing business for me. Also, it is really cheap life insurance.

If anyone here has not returned their car to tip top as new OEM condition, especially the intake and fuel system, you need to do that first. If fuel economy is still a concern, move to Venezuela or sell your Q45.

Life is tough, but it is a lot tougher if you are dumb or deluded.

Ahh suck it upp your full of it! You get on your rag and you won’t come off of it. Im Armenian so your black racial slurs don’t really have anything to do with me. Im a proud NYLIC financial planner and there is nothing cheap of bull about my company and on top of that I try to help people with every aspect of their financial needs. I try to use that part of me here also. I reached out to you guys after my research to get facts and opinions, but all I got from you was . I said I will be trying to get the hold of this product to see if it works and help all of us here who want to use their cars' potentials more efficiently.

So Q45tech can you watch the video on the website and see how much of it is true and give me your analysis since I take your words seriously and I would really appreciate that....

Where did you get the impression Brian was jabbing you with the race/ethnicity card? He simply stated that gas saving gizmos are useless and only the uninformed or uneducated {on the subject} fall for them?

Your race, ethnicity,or job is immaterial to the conversation......

Ok, Gammer seems to think the Venezuela reference was some kind of racial thing. Not only does he not know this fuel saving "device" is BS, but he also doesn't seem to know that Venezuela is a major oil producing country where it would stand to reason that gasoline would be inexpensive also. I wish my Q was more niggardly with fuel consumption, but I suppose that's a racist comment too.

sounds to me like gahmer just wanted some input and more info and a professional opinion instead brian just poped out a smart a_ _ coment about crack pipes and bikes.Good people come here for help, direction and input about the Q45 why is it if some one asks for help or something they get called un-educated crack heads? Ive asked for help in the past, and if i remember correctly brian always had a smart a_ _ comment but no helpful input. Q45 tech and other people for the most part are profesional , helpful people, thats what people come here for not to be criticized !!!

Well he did answer your question. However you need to be able to recognize it.

No racial comment from me since my extended family, wife's side, does have an Armenian component. HOW BOUT DAT? ? ? One is a "brainiac", and I'm sure he would not launch any correspondence with spelling and punctuation errors, financial planning not withstanding. Hagopian ? is the family name, male side.

However if the car you show in your sig is what you own, and, what you did, then it was probably assumed that you were black since that style is something blacks do to cars. Ever hear of PIMP MY RIDE?

Some pimping is cool, some not. In any event it's different and to each his own.

You voting for O bama?

I thought the Kool-Aid references were talking more about Jonestown, like you'd have to be substantially confused and misled to believe what you do. Now that I read my last post after getting some sleep, it sounds kind of mean. I was just trying to poke a little fun.

How far off was your post? The picture in gmmers sig is of a FY33 that went through a VIP conversion. A style started by Japanese mobsters that crossed over to the mainstream. Last time I checked, the Japs weren't black.

Pimp My Ride? A majority of the "contestants" are trashy post college slckers (who are mostly white) and get much joy from having oversized rims, 12 tv's in the trunk, and an aquarium in the backseat.

Maybe you were just fired up from a Klan meeting or something.

Gammer. You're a financial planner? Wow.

Same here. I really blieve that Brian meant that he wasn't going to believe the hype about this fuel saver.

What really made me chuckle was your use of "niggardly". Very rarely do I ever see someone use it correctly. Hopefully no one gets offended because of their lack of understanding.

Actually it has to do with Jonetown where the leader (one Mr. Jones) had his followers drink the poison laded KoolAid after Mr. Jones' flunkies killed a US Representative at the airstrip. Of course, the brave non-drinkers were dispatched by Mr. Jones' flunkies.

I have several Armenian friends all of whom are a little more open minded and more capable of critical thinking. They are most definitely not lemmings.

Why do I love this forum? With four young children and a bunch of other commitments, entertainment is a scarce commodity for me. And I also need to keep my 3 old Q45's in good running order while engaging my mind and tools. And with the Forum I get both! I really don't mind hearing some of you guys spice it up occasionally - some of my best laughter comes at 11 at night after the kids are in bed and I'm unwinding with the forum while I also plot my next repair or upgrade.

We should never allow posts about fuel economy, lower octane, etc. They seem to always turn ugly.

Locked.
