hey everybody. I'm working on a build on my SR and I don't want to spend all of the cash for a stroker, but would like a small increase in "non-turbo power". I'm planning to put in 87mm CP pistons. They offer them in 8.5/1 compession or 9/1. Would the 9/1 really make much of a difference? I know I'd have to run slightly lower boost pressure. Just looking for a few opinions, preferably from people that have tried any of these options. And also, does the extra 1mm bore help out any in the bottom end? Thanks guys!

i know a couple of guys in the ca18 forum are running higher compression. i believe it was float_6969. try and search for some of his stuff.

anyway, rasing the compression on a small turbo such as the t25 will allow of nearly instant spool. so you will see much better response. but you will need excellant tuning to keep from melting your pistons.

Well, I'm going to be going with the Blitz turbo kit. I'm hoping that the increase in compression and the increased bore will help quicken the spool up on that turbo.
