I was recently changing my highbeam bulbs and the plug/cord for the highbeam fell into the headlamp assembly. Does anyone have a link to show how to remove 2015 Nissan Rogue headlamp assembly? I'm assuming that I will need to remove it so I can get the plug back out.

I looked and all I can find is refer to EXT-17 (remove front bumper fascia) Maybe I'm just a noob, but I can't find that diagram in any of the manuals.

Unfortunately, to remove the headlight assembly from the vehicle, you have to remove the front bumper completely off the vehicle. Sometimes, I really don't get these design decisions that Nissan makes half the time.

Yes I am aware that I will need to remove the bumper to get the headlight out. Does anyone know how to do that or perhaps has any experience with that very short cord falling into the headlamp?

Just for future reference, we have an incredible SEARCH feature on this forum.

The instructions for removing the front bumper is the same for ALL 2nd gen models.

Not to be rude, but it won't matter if someone else has had that issue - the headlight (and bumper) still have to come out. Once the bumper is off, the headlight removal should be pretty self-explanatory.

It's a poor design, but it also begs the question why a 4-year old car needs new bulbs already. I'd be frustrated as all hell - not just about the bulb, but the dropping of the wire and the need to disassemble the whole front end. YUCK. Good luck.

I don't get how you drop a wire into a headlight that can't be fished out with a bent coathanger. It's a wire, isn't it?

I suspect he's doing HIDs and it's the little wire with bulb assembly that's gone walkabout. But agreed.

Even then the housings are usually plain steel. Magnet instead of a hook. ;)

Even doing HIDs or LED swaps, those wires aint that long to fall into the housing. Usually it can be taken out without removing the assembly. That's what I can remember from the Halogen conversion from my 16, unless Nissan changed that setup from the 17 to 20.

I was attempting to install LED's. The cord is very short. I tried using a wire bent into the shape of a hook and the magnet trick, but neither worked. The problem is that I can't see anything in there and I don't know where the cord originates from on the driver side. I can feel there is a wire cluster in there, but it's quite attached and don't want to yank it too hard.
