I live on Orlando FL, It's hot here. I have been using 5w-30 for oil. Is this a good choice? A friend of mine said that this is the wrong oil to use for hi temp climates. Also, the car has 150k so the seals are probably not in good enough condition to go full syn.

What do you florida guys run?

I'm not in FL, but I am in TX.

I run 20-50, and I've found it doesn't leak out as fast.

I've been running full synth 5-30w with lucas full synth oil stabilizer. I have no problems with it and I think I'm even saving gas. My car is an S14 Zenki with about 135k on it. It used to have reg oil in it, but I first put blend and then full synth.
