limiter? maybe fuel pump or filter failure?

just an idea, not too sure.. something similar happened to my old 240 with the fuel delivery system. so check ur filter.. replace it if its not too new.. its only like 10 bucks.. pump however is a more annoying fix, so if filter doesnt fix it, do that..

Walbro pumps are hit and miss even when buying a new pump.Theve been known to go out when they are under full load.I mean i cant say much, ive got one in mine, but it is a known fact and it is very possible that its cutting off because its over heating or just dieing.

My friends WRX does this and he has the walboro. Consider yourself lucky though, his cuts out around 2500!

my 240 used to cut out at 5500 rpm, it was the fifth gear sensor was stuck on the on position or something like that, I just unplugged it and it never gave me problems again.
