hey im new to this forum and am having problems with my car its a 95 240sx with a stock ka24de and automatic trans. ive hit the track and its pullin 16.9 and 16.8 with a short ram intake only but i am noticing that when it hits 3rd gear it takes forever to kick into overdrive it seems to hesitate. the car hits 5000 rpm no problem int 1st and 2nd but in 3rd gear it takes forever and seems like it needs more fuel or something anyone know how to fix this or if youve come across this same problem and what did you do to fix it my car has 170000 without a rebiuld but perfect compression whats up

I don't know about auto s14's but the MT S13 ran 16.1 thru the quarter mile factory according to Road and Track so that sounds like the the time it should be running, I'd say its just the lack of power our cars have stock.

my car had a loss of power too after about 4000 rpm the car just seemed to level off. i went and installed a walbro 255 fuel pump and my car pulls much better now overall, especially after 5000 rpm. my car is m/t too though.

This is also happening to my car recently. 1995 KA24DE, Automatic

I replace sparkplugs, and sparkplug wires with the cheap stuff for now, and replace a fan because the car was overheating.

Did you figure this out, I have read that it could be the MAF, Fuel Pump, the Transmission, the spark plugs, the wires... etc. Do you have a straight answer?
