High RPM...No Pull...Transmision problem?

My 240 no longer pulls. It drives fine until WOT. At WOT the RPMs jump up to around 5K and there is no pull, the car accelerates slowly. It still shifts fine, and the car drives normally until WOT. Is this transmission related? How can I fix it?

You manual transmission or automatic?Sounds like your clutch is slipping. The car will be fine until the engine torque exceeds whatever the clutch is capable of holding, RPM will go sky high but you won't accelerate.Is this accompanied by any burning smells or anything?

its manual and yes there is eventually a burning smell

definately sounds like your clutch.If you don't have any signifigant modifications, the Exedy OEM clutch is pretty decent. It'll supposedly hold till about 220 ft/lbs of torque and it's only $100 off ebay.I like mine, installed nice and works fine.
